I’ll tell you why I say this...

 

I inflict a set of rules on my life
Which are sometimes hard to live with
And I’ve invented an invisible being
Which I’m very scared of displeasing
Also I believe good and bad are illusions
But still I say that you’ve got to be good

 

If I am rich with money still I’ll only die
If I have a good career still I’ll only die
It all seems such a waste of time
But I am mad !
I am mad !

 

Can you tell me the point in staying alive ?
Do you know that I don’t know ?
Everything I’ve had, yes I’ve had my share
Do you know that I’m still empty ?
I forever seek a pot of gold in a rainbow
Then I hit my friends - I say, “You live in a dream”

Well, I am mad...
